Exhibition at the Leopold Museum.

With its newly conceived presentation of the collection, the Leopold Museum is creating an opulent tableau which affords uniquely rich and complex insights into the fascination of Vienna around 1900 and the atmosphere of this vibrant time.

Why do pictures appear three-dimensional? What role does central perspective play? Using pictures of long streets, rows of houses or avenues of trees, we will familiarise ourselves with this artistic medium.

As part of Pride Month, we are offering free special tours of our special exhibition "GLANZ UND ELEND. New Objectivity in Germany". The exhibition with around 150 works is the first comprehensive presentation of German New Objectivity in Austria and deals with queer themes in the period between the two world wars.
