The new Permanent Exhibition at the Architekturzentrum Wien: Going against the current trend for increasing economic constraints on their collections, the new Permanent Exhibition of the Az W sets standards in the production and sharing of knowledge.

Yasmeen Lari is Pakistan’s first woman architect. She designed iconic modernist buildings before initiating a zero-carbon self-build movement for climate refugees and the landless. This exhibition uses Lari’s oeuvre as an example to show how the relationship of architecture to the future has changed.

As guests of the Architekturzentrum Wien Architecture Lounge, on 1 May admission is free for everybody interested in architecture.

EUROPAN competitions are held every two years and synchronised throughout Europe, engaging with urgent and threatening situations. The book that accompanies the exhibition "Yasmeen Lari. Architecture for the Future" provides an overview of Lari’s extraordinary practice, from her modernist beginnings in the 1960s to the current humanitarian architecture based on decolonisation and decarbonising.
