LEO Kinderatelier: Pflanzen-Potpourri

Wild brushstrokes, bright shades of green! Alongside the landscape paintings by Richard Gerstl, the garden paintings by Theodor von Hörmann also whet the appetite for the warm season and experiences in the great outdoors. Together we will welcome the awakening plant world in the museum and be inspired to create floral paper paintings in the studio!

In the fin de siècle, Vienna was a breeding ground for an unprecedentedly fertile intellectual life in the arts and sciences. The guided tour series, which takes place every first and third Friday of the month, focuses on special topics that reflect the achievements and special features of this era. Experience revealing and exciting insights and view the works from a completely new perspective.

Public Guided Tour: Wien 1900

The awakening took place in a wide variety of disciplines, from painting and graphic art to literature, music, theater, dance, architecture, medicine, psychology, philosophy, jurisprudence and economics. With around 1,300 exhibits on three levels, the exhibition presents the splendor and richness of the artistic and intellectual achievements of this epoch on the basis of masterpieces from the Leopold Museum and magnificent permanent loans from Austrian and international collections.
