Matthias Gruber, born in 1984, studied theatre studies and worked as a receptionist, in online marketing and in an emergency sleeping facility. He is co-founder of the Salzburg city magazines fraeuleinflora.at and QWANT. As part of the O-Töne, he presents his debut novel "Die Einsamkeit der Ersten ihrer Art" (Jung und Jung) for the first time.

Tonio Schachinger, born in New Delhi in 1992, studied German at the University of Vienna and Language Arts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His first novel "Nicht wie ihr" (Not Like You) was shortlisted for the German Book Prize 2019, nominated for the Rauris Literature Prize and awarded the Förderpreis of the Bremen Literature Prize. At the O-Töne he now reads from his second novel "Echtzeitalter" (Rowohlt).
