MQ Hofmusik: Adelita Escapes & Space Gear

Adelita Escapes combines electronic music of great emotional intensity, full of longing, warmth and melancholy with analogue piano playing and takes us on a decelerating and beguiling journey with very touching and personal facets. The musician studied multimedia art with a focus on music production at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and in 2017 received the Electronic Country Music Prize of the State of Salzburg for her "sovereign handling of essential varieties of contemporary electronic music", which "with washed-out harmonics and precise beats" creates a "successful synthesis of very heterogeneous sounds” and “sound depth”.

Accompanying Adelita Escapes is musician and visual artist Marie Vermont and her "Space Gear," an assortment of cable and knob gadgets. Marie Vermont was abducted by aliens in 1999. Her sounds are based on fragments of the commons and other spaces, analogue and electronic hemispheres. Unpredictable factors such as wind and weather play a role here, as do UFOs.
