Lecker observes the slow melting of a Jolly ice cream bar – an almost meditative study of transience, consumer aesthetics and the pathos of melting. The austere visual language tips into the absurd when the process turns out to be the protagonist's (Grenzfurthner) nightmare: drenched in sweat, he wakes up in his bed, only to be haunted by a Twinni – a Freudian souvenir from deep-freeze psychology. The work plays with the ironic contrast between art-theoretical seriousness and Austrian ice cream nostalgia – a small memento mori made of sugar, colouring and gentle horror.

monochrom is an internationally active media art, technology and philosophy collective with a studio in Vienna's Museumsquartier. Since its foundation in 1993, it has been working with a wide variety of media and art formats in search of the right medium for the right project. monochrom's trademark is its experimental approach to art and technology. They are known for their unconventional projects and actions, which are often humorous but always intelligent. The group combines art, science and pop culture in innovative ways and has earned a reputation as a pioneer in the field of media art. This is evidenced by their participation in exhibitions at the Venice and Sao Paulo Biennials, international film festivals and Austrian festivals such as steirischer herbst, Diagonale, Viennale and Ars Electronica.
