As part of the exhibition "Overground Resistance" at frei_raum Q21 exhibition space, Aka Niviâna - poet and climate activist from Greenland - presents the poetic video work "Rise: From One Island to Another" that was realized in collaboration with artist and activist from the Marshall Islands Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner.

Tours

Backstage Tour

During this tour, visitors may be lucky enough to get a glimpse behind the studio doors of the guest artists, and the initiatives based at Q21 talk about their work.

From 15.07.2021 the tours will again take place every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, the 3 G - rule applies.

Guided tours for school groups

It is a special responsibility of art mediation to introduce young people to contemporary art and culture. For some youths, a visit at Q21 can be their first contact.

Projection art in a new light.

The Vienna-based creative company Lumine stages projections holistically, from the idea to the actual experience. With large-scale, customized panoramic projections and 3D video mapping adapted to the architecture, buildings as well as rooms have been effectively staged for more than two decades.
