The winter season at the MQ has always been characterised by its atmospheric pre-Christmas ambience. This year's programme includes artist talks, performances and interventions as well as the MQ curling rink and Winter Race. The restaurants Halle Café Restaurant, Café Leopold, Dschungel Café, MQ Amore, MQdaily and MQ Kantine will spoil visitors with punch, mulled wine and winter snacks. The setting, including new tree islands, was created by designer Robert Rüf.
At MQ Point you'll find lots of shopping inspiration, from unusual Christmas decorations and fantastic gift ideas to the MQ annual pass.
Winter of Love

opening: Wed 08.11., 19h
with starsky, Electric Indigo and performances by Aiko Kazuko Kurosaki, Anna Rita Cedroni and Nenosun
Julia Zdarsky alias starsky has designed a new light projection for the MuseumsQuartier called "Winter of Love". Above the main entrance of the MQ, a new sentence is shown every day, visible from afar. It deals with the current issues of our time. With her statements, starsky creates sentences that express hope and confidence.
In the main courtyard, the two historical façades as well as the ground are covered with projections. Sentences with wishes and instructions for action shine on the façades. Self-determined, humorous and discursive, new forms of action are conceived. starsky's art is an incitement to independent thought and action. It encourages us to call a spade a spade and to stand up for an open society.
