With puppets, a harmonium, and a microphone, "Do You Know This Song?" recalls a past that keeps trying to speak to a present. The piece explores the potential of song to retrieve, hold and transform memories and loss into a larger shared space. The artist sings and invites people to join her.

In "Bad Ballet", three dance artists and a dance historian counter the homogenisation, discipline and hierarchies often associated with ballet through desire, exchange and joy. Andrew Champlin, Elizabeth Ward and Kevin Fay will co-facilitate a virtuosity-indifferent class, share their research and the ballet stories carried in their bodies, and transmit choreographic material based on "The Nutcracker".

In his artistic practice and choreographic work, Igor Koruga explores such social phenomena as negative feelings, immunity, care and vulnerability – as expressions of criticism and resistance to an omnipresent patriarchal-capitalist reality. Based on asymmetrical, physical and social forces and abilities of queer, feminist, immunocompromised and non-institutionalised precarious dance practices, Igor Koruga seeks public recognition for such forms of criticism.

Charlotte Gash stages the existential crises of young artists as a DIY musical. With jazz hands, bad acting, tacky songs and a good sense of humour, "The Sound of Losers" brings you a story of expectations, dependencies, privilege and failure.

This year’s edition of "S_P_I_T_" is entirely dedicated to queer visibility and "pleasure activism". The concept goes back to adrienne maree brown, emphasising the political dimension of pleasure as a tool for social change. brown encourages radical self-expression. According to her, sexuality is part of liberation and an important aspect of holistic activism. Particularly in response to societal crises, creating spaces for joy, creativity, and empowerment is essential.
