We will begin the class with a cardio warm-up to get the blood flowing, followed by several movement sequences, bringing awareness to our alignment and posture developing our coordination. Using imagery as a tool, we will playfully improvise to continue exploring connections in the body, as well as different dynamics and movement qualities.

Public Moves dance classes take place outdoors every day – international and local instructors share their knowledge of everything from jazz and Bollywood dance to waacking in free outdoor classes. No previous experience is necessary, and all ages and levels are welcome!

Registration begins one day before the course starts at 11:00 a.m. via the calendar or by telephone on +43.1.523 55 58-19. If a class is ‘fully booked’, there is still the possibility of securing a remaining place on site. It's worth dropping by!

Biography 

Hannah Timbrell is an independent dancer from Adelaide, Australia, currently based in Vienna. She has performed both nationally and internationally, including appearances at the Donaufestival and the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris. From 2012 to 2019, Hannah worked with Tanz Company Gervasi. In 2017, she developed and toured a solo titled Enklave, directed by Elio Gervasi. She has also taught and assisted in several Tanz Company Gervasi workshops in Vienna and Italy.

Since 2017, Hannah has been creating and performing with the Chris Haring/Liquid Loft collective in works such as Foreign Tongues, Stand Alones (Polyphony), Stranger Than Paradise, Living in funny eternity_L.I.F.E., In Medias Res, and Seit umschlungen, Millionen!. She has also been involved in a variety of other projects, including short movement films, outdoor productions, and dance theatre works such as This is What Happened in the Telephone Booth, choreographed by Leonie Wahl and directed by Ernst Kurt Weigel.

Hannah teaches ballet, contemporary dance, choreography, improvisation, and bodywork at the Tanzlehrgang Weiterbildungsinstitut Wien. She is currently training to become a certified BASI Pilates instructor.
