MOTHER LOVES YOU

Mon 20. to Thu 23.05., performance with video installation 

A kitchen. Raphael pushes the cake closer to Ada: "Just a few bites", Ada pushes the plate away. Raphael: "Come on, it's good for your nerves." Ada: "I know what's good for me myself!"

Raphael means well. Ada doesn't want to be looked after and is stubborn. A few words are enough to turn a loving moment together into an argument, but things can become peaceful and familiar again just as quickly.
Raphael and Ada know their rituals and code words inside out; they bear witness to the close relationship that has developed since Raphael's birth.

In "MOTHER LOVES YOU", mother and son stop time and the role models become blurred. The play lovingly explores this relationship, which we all know in one form or another. Is it intimate, annoying, vital, secondary? Definitely complex!

The kitchen, the video installation and the music play together to create a multi-layered mother-child-child-mother-belly experience for the audience.
