Presentation and Artist Talk with MQ Artist-in-Residence Ariel Magnes

As part of the MQ Artist-in-Residence program, Ariel Magnes spent two months in Vienna developing an indie game inspired by the city and its history. She gives a post-mortem about developing her first prototype as a solo developer and some of the inspirations for the project. In addition, she presents parts of the prototype and describes some of the actual wartime objects that inspired the virtual ones included in the game. Though ultimately the game is a reflection on family memory and artifacts of conflict and ordinary life, the player is given agency to decide what is taken and what is left behind.

The event will take place in english.
