Art Austria 2012
Date: May 9 to 13
Venue: LEOPOLD MUSEUM
The presentation of exclusively Austrian art is the unique selling point of art austria, establishing for it an unmistakeable image. This exhibition concept has received a very positive and sustained response among exhibitors, the press and art-lovers alike.
art austria will be taking place for the fifth time in 2012. And we are particularly pleased that it will be held 2012 again in the exhibition rooms of the Leopold Museum. As a specialised exhibition focussing exclusively on Austrian art, art austria has now also found a perfectly appropriate setting. The successful history of art austria now continues in a suitable environment.
In 2012, 48 exhibitors will show works of art by Austrian artists from various eras. These include well-known exhibitors who have given art austria its outstanding reputation since the very beginning, but several important, new exhibitors have been included to further refine the image of this specialised art exhibition.
Since 2010, we have been pleased to comply with the wishes of our exhibitors and have waived the date restrictions that applied in the first two years. This means that seminal works of Austrian art from the 19th century to the present day will be shown at art austria.
The limitation of one to six artists per booth (depending on the booth size) has remained the same. This rule has not only lent a stricter structure to art austria, past experience has shown that the art-buying public appreciates the concept as well. And the exhibitors have also taken this to heart - as evidenced by the numerous individual exhibitions to be seen at art austria.
As in the previous years, several presentations with clear and concise themes will also be shown. We are convinced that this fourth art austria will be a special art experience for you, thanks not only to the quality of art on offer but also to the exhibition rooms of the Leopold Museum and the ever-dignified booth designs.
