Rahmenprogramm zur Ausstellung (LOVE) WILL TEAR US
Zentrales Element in Aksel Zeydan Gözs Animation "Simone" ist das Sichtbarwerden eines expressiven Holzschnitts, worin psychologische Elemente stärker im Vordergrund stehen als die Repräsentation von Wirklichkeit. Als Thema für die Animation wählt der Istanbuler Künstler die Figur "Simone" aus George Batailles Erzählung "Die Geschichte des Auges" (Histoire de l’œil, Paris, 1967). In der Entwicklung der Animation war es Göz wichtig eine Beziehung zur Malerei zu erarbeiten.
The aim of this project is to make an animation that contains the visuality of the expressionist woodcuts in which psychological conditions appear more than the representation of the reality. The character "Simone", who is from George Bataille's story "The Story of an Eye" (Histoire de l’œil, Paris, 1967) is chosen as a subject for the animation and a manner of animation related with the art of painting was tried to be kept
