Das Animation Festival des Prix Ars Electronica vermittelt Einblicke in aktuelle Strömungen auf dem Gebiet der Computeranimation. Erstmals 2005 veranstaltet, hat sich das Animation Festival nicht nur als fixer Bestandteil der Ars Electronica etabliert, sondern wird heuer exportiert und zeitgleich im net.culture.space stattfinden. Zu sehen ist unter anderem ein Best of aus der Kategorie „Computer Animation/Film/VFX“. Von 05.09. bis 07.09., jeweils um 20.30h, werden außerdem Filme im MQ Hof auf das Leopold Museum projiziert.
