Saskia Warzecha was born in 1987 in Peine. She studied computer linguistics in Potsdam and afterwards Language Arts at the University for Applied Arts Vienna and Literary Writing at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig.

She was 2016 Finalist at the 24th Open Mike, 2017 she won the Munich Lyrikpreis, in 2019 she received the working scholarship from the Berlin Senate, in the same year she was invited to the Leonce and Lena Prize to Darmstadt. Your debut "Approximanten" appeared 2020 at Matthes & Seitz Berlin and was chosen at the house for poetry in Berlin and at the Hessian Literature Forum among the best lyrical posters of the year. In 2021, she was awarded the promotional price to the home bakery price.

Since 2018, she co-edits the magazine »Transistor – Zeitschrift für zeitgenössische Lyrik« twice a year.

Project info

During the residency at Q21 I want to continue on a lyric work, in which space theory and culture of remembrance are linked together.
