Once upon a time... That's how many exciting stories begin. Here at mumok, too, things get exciting when we immerse ourselves in the lives and works of fascinating artists in our picture book cinema and retell their captivating adventures with our cool collection objects!

We bring good stories, the Japanese storytelling theatre Kamishibai and lots of theatrical flair, transform our painting walls into a cinema screen and interactively explore the experiments of Paul Klee, Alexander Calder and Henri Matisse together with you, your friends and your family.

Full of insights into their past and artistic techniques, with lots of energy, colours, shapes and plenty of colourful paper, you will create your own artwork based on our picture book cinema and write and draw your own creative story in no time.
