Talk*: Bees at MQ

Wed 12.07., 19h l MQ Summer Stage, Main Courtyard l free admission
*the event will be held in German
-> in case of bad weather the talk will take place at MQ Raum D!

With "MQ goes Green", the MuseumsQuartier has dedicated itself to the topics of sustainability and ecology. The protection of biodiversity is one of many concerns. Artist Anita Fuchs is currently researching and developing a green area on the forecourt. In spring of this year, four beehives with 240,000 honey bees also settled in a quiet spot in the MQ. A small contribution to the protection of bees, which are irreplaceable for biodiversity, our ecosystems and thus for us humans.
The MQ beehives are looked after by beekeeper Thomas Zelenka, who will talk to Bettina Leidl about the challenges of beekeeping in an urban environment and how working with bees has changed since the days of his grandfather.
