If you give a concert, you get applause. Whoever is on stage gets attention, is publicly recognized and appreciated. At least for the duration of a performance. But how exactly does recognition work? For what qualities do we receive praise or good marks? Who is famous for what reasons? Would we really all like to be stars?

In "RESPEKT!" young performers deal with honor and recognition. Between hip-hop, rap, spoken word music and sound experiments, we hear unheard-of eulogies, novel hymns, surprising ceremonies and catchy songs that express appreciation for others. Do you also believe that respect, attention and recognition are not always fairly distributed? What does a musical commemoration sound like? Whose work, achievements and deeds deserve our respect? Are you curious? Join us in testing the theater as a machine that can produce and distribute recognition and attention. It's raining laurels!
