Repro Rave - Eine Ode an die Care-Arbeit

Feeding, cleaning, washing, comforting, cooking ... Over and over again. Why not exchange one recurring routine for another and conquer the dance floor at the "Repro Rave"! Based on the musical material of the Viennese band "Futter für die Mutter*", parallels are drawn between techno music and household routines: they are repetitive and often boring.

The boxes of the sound system form the stage installation on which excessive breastfeeding and washing take place. The floor is mopped and the childish tantrum is acted out in shared authorship. In "Repro Rave", the contradictions of parenthood are provocatively exposed. Of course, the performers can take care of the baby and keep the rave going at the same time. The result is a danced manifesto for radical friendship and different family constellations.
