Within the public tour, visitors will gain insights into Thomas Feuerstein's cycle of works. With METABOLICA, the artist questions the connections between resource consumption, sustainability and artistic creation. The exhibition opens up new perspectives on the pressing issues of our time and impressively demonstrates how art and science can work together. The focus is on biological and technological processes, which are presented in five chapters - from the cultivation of algae to bacterial metabolic processes and the production of bioplastic sculptures.
Art historian, art critic and curator Margareta Sandhofer will guide you through the exhibition.
