Laura Freudenthaler, born in 1984, was already a guest at the O-Töne in 2017 with her debut novel "Die Königin schweigt". The book was awarded the Förderpreis zum Bremer Literaturpreis and best German-language debut novel at the Festival du premier Roman in Chambéry. Her second novel, Geistergeschichte (2019), was awarded the European Union Prize for Literature, among other prizes, and reached No. 1 on the ORF bestseller list. At this year's O-Töne, Laura Freudenthaler will present for the first time her book "Brandstiftung", which is hot off the press and will be published at the end of August (Jung und Jung).
