O-Töne Debuts: Karoline Therese Marth "Dotterland"

Reading: Laura Freudenthaler "Arson"

Moderation: Klaus Kastberger

Karoline Therese Marth, born in 1995, studies language arts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She has published short prose, poetry and radio plays so far. She has already received the Retzhof Prize 2019 for an excerpt from "Dotterland", as well as the Startstipendium für Literatur and the Projektstipendium für Literatur 2022. During the interviews, she will present the finished novel "Dotterland", published by Droschl, for the first time.

Laura Freudenthaler, born in 1984, was already a guest at the O-Töne in 2017 with her debut novel "Die Königin schweigt". The book was awarded the Förderpreis zum Bremer Literaturpreis and best German-language debut novel at the Festival du premier Roman in Chambéry. Her second novel, Geistergeschichte (2019), was awarded the European Union Prize for Literature, among other prizes, and reached No. 1 on the ORF bestseller list. At this year's O-Töne, Laura Freudenthaler will present for the first time her book "Brandstiftung", which is hot off the press and will be published at the end of August (Jung und Jung).
