Moving Lines – The Animated Worlds of MQ Artist-in-Residence Heta Jäälinoja

In this artist talk, Finnish animation filmmaker Heta Jäälinoja takes us on a personal journey through her artistic work. Presenting selected short films – Omelette, Penelope, and her latest film, Nun or Never! – As well as sketches and behind-the-scenes material, she offers insights into her creative process, themes, and sources of inspiration. A special focus will be placed on the development of Nun or Never! An opportunity to experience the poetry of her animation work up close.

Heta Jäälinoja won the MQ Artist-in-Residence Award at the Tricky Women/Tricky Realities Festival 2024 – she is currently living and working at the MuseumsQuartier until the end of May 2025.
