Momentchen is a child who desperately wants to grow up. Then he would never be bored again! One day, he encounters a mysterious primordial being. With its help, Momentchen learns to speed up and slow down time.

When he is bored, Momentchen fast-forwards his life. He skips his maths test, runs like a cheetah and sees trees grow in a matter of seconds. Conversely, he can make his surroundings run in slow motion. Then the traffic moves at a snail's pace and break time lasts longer than school lessons. But at some point, Momentchen realises that he is missing more and more because of his interventions. Will he manage to return to the present?

The story of Momentchen is told in the form of a live-action animated film. The audience looks behind the scenes of a film studio and sees how the actors literally slip into their roles. The interplay of different realities brings Momentchen's world to life on stage and in the film before our eyes. The performance tells of the secrets of time, of time-consuming machines and of how we ourselves tick.
