Malaika, a wind from the Far East, blows through the open window in Leyla's room, dancing around Leyla as a pleasant, gentle, warm breeze and ruffling her hair. Malaika not only blows a thousand scents and colours into the small room, but also exciting stories and myths.

Malaika has travelled far, through deserts and forests, valleys and waters of the ancient Silk Road. She tells of windswept routes, buried oases, colourful caravans, dancing peoples, but also of tornadoes, endless pipelines that snake through the landscape, drilling towers and power lines, in which she sometimes gets caught and begins to whistle and hiss angrily. At first, Leyla is afraid of all the unknown stories and impressions from afar, but this playful and sometimes slightly crazy wind awakens an almost unbearable curiosity in her. Gradually, an unusual friendship develops, and Malaika is ready to share her lightness with Leyla and take her on a breathtaking journey full of excitement and joy.
