Community engagements are integral part of Judith Kis' artistic practice. As part of her residency at the MuseumsQuartier, she is organizing two "dream workshops" with black obsidian mirrors. This ancient tool to access the subconscious is preserved and shared by Mexican researchers through the information platform “Calea Flora”. Participants can expect a deep meditation with magical objects followed by a discussion.

Judit Kis is an intermedia artist and researcher based in Budapest and Berlin. Her performative videos and virtual diaries reflect on the experiences and traumas that shape our identities, personal boundaries, and behavioral patterns. Her practice combines digital content with installations of objects and often expands into participatory performances and community engagement. Currently she is pursuing a doctoral degree to explore the social impact of self-defining and self-revealing performances with a focus on self-care, mental health, and alternative healing methodologies.
