Inclusive Writing Workshop with Ohrenschmaus: Images Become Words

In our inclusive writing workshop, we invite everyone to develop creative texts together – regardless of their writing experience. In cooperation with the association Ohrenschmaus, we combine creative writing with artistic inspiration and create an open space for inclusion and diversity. 

The writing workshop begins with a guided tour of the exhibition "Richard Hawkins: Potentialities" in simple language. Afterwards, we write texts together, inspired by the artworks. All participants discover their own voice, share thoughts and stories and turn images into words. The focus is on one thing: every voice counts. 

The writing workshop is free of charge for people with disabilities and their companions. Participation is open to people aged 14 and over. Anyone who wishes to do so can bring a companion or have their texts dictated – spelling is not important. Together, we create an appreciative space for writing, exchange, and mutual inspiration.

Anyone can participate. 
The writing workshop is held at Kunsthalle Wien. 
We collaborate with Ohrenschmaus. 

Here’s what you can expect: 

First, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition in simple language. 
We will look at the artworks. 
We talk about the pictures. 

Then we write texts. 
The art helps us with our writing. 
You can write stories, thoughts or poems. 

You can also say texts. 
Someone will write for you. 
Spelling is not important. 

Our motto is: 
Every voice is important. 

Costs 

Participation is free of charge for people with disabilities. 
Companions also participate free of charge. 

You can participate from the age of 14. 
You are allowed to bring a companion. 

We ensure a friendly atmosphere. 
Everyone is welcome. 

For people without disabilities, participation costs € 25. 
And € 15 with a discount.  

The discount applies to: students, civil servants and military personnel, apprentices, and annual ticket holders of the Kunsthalle Wien.  

There is a limited number of tickets per writing workshop for: 
Culture Pass holders of "Hunger for Art and Culture."
