DONAURAUSCHEN & FLUSSGEFLÜSTER

from 11.03., interactive exhibition for children aged 6 to 12 years

Bubbling spring stream, mighty river, vast delta at the Black Sea – the Danube flows over 2,587 kilometres through 10 European countries. But how does this river come into being? Why does it change its shape? What forces are at work in it? And who lives in and along the Danube? Artistic participation stations, play offers, and experiments provide answers to these questions. Steer your own Danube ship and explore the diverse languages and cultures of the Danube region. Explore tiny aquatic creatures in the Danube Lab and search for the secret migratory routes of the Danube fish. Experiment with gravel, stones, and sand and find out why this "gravel beach" is so important. Help us humans convert the power of water into energy. Learn from different perspectives that a healthy river needs its freedom, how valuable living water is, and what the Danube Island in Vienna has to do with flood protection. Underwater, dive into the Danube: Slip into a costume, become a fish, and swim against the current! Join us on a journey of discovery and learn how diverse and unique the Danube River system is!
