Sophie von Hellermann (born 1975 in Munich) has created an extensive new work on canvas for the 62-metre-long display case on the south-west wall of the building. Von Hellermann's paintings draw on fact and fiction and draw heavily on history and culture to develop expansive, narrative compositions. "Get Your Head Around It’" is a tribute to the writer, cyberneticist, language theorist and musician Oswald Wiener (born in Vienna in 1935, died in Styria in 2021), with whom von Hellermann studied "epistemology" at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in the 1990s.
The tour is free of charge. The meeting point is the ticket office.
