In this edition of "Queer-A Feminist Perspective" in the exhibitions "Mapping the 60s" and "Never Final! The Museum in Evolution," we examine the conditions and approaches of feminist art production, feminist exhibition projects, and mumok’s collection policy. What artistic approaches and media works were developed by feminist and queer feminist artists? What was exhibited and when? By whom? What experiences did female artists have when they were the only women invited to exhibitions? What experiences did female artists and curators have when they claimed exhibition spaces for themselves—for example, at the exhibition "Kunst mit Eigensinn" in 1985 at the former 20er-Haus? An exhibition that is still considered an important reference project for current feminist and queer-feminist projects.
