"Total Refusal" describes itself as a "pseudo-Marxist media guerrilla troupe" that works with artistic interventions and the appropriation of mainstream games. Video games are recycled to reveal political power relations behind the shiny and hyperreal surfaces of these media. A selection of Total Refusal's technically superb and award-winning film projects, performance and art projects provide insights into the content and methodological scope of their working methods.
