Experience the stars of tomorrow live: An orchestra in flux between training and departure
The mdw Saxophone Orchestra – consisting of talented students from the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna – will bring a fresh sound to the main courtyard of the MuseumsQuartier on May 24, 2025. As part of this year's MQ Courtyard Concerts, the orchestra will serve up a special kind of musical cocktail: multi-layered, surprising and full of energy. The extraordinary mix of young saxophone virtuosos will provide tingling experiences and fine vibes that will linger for a long time.
Under the concert title “Saxoness”, you will hear straightforward, quirky and unconventional music. You could probably also say sweet, bitter and smoky. But please be careful, this concert might make you addicted to classical saxophone sound!
