„Long Way Home“ is a book that gathers a collection of texts and visual materials dedicated to the research of archaic culture at the region of Belarusian Palessie (South-Western part of Belarus), pursued over the last 10 years by Belarusian artist Masha Maroz. This substantial and unique photographic archive, carefully collected through Masha Maroz's expeditions to her ancestral land, is accompanied by philosophical, poetic, and historical reflections shared by curator Anna Karpenko, philosopher Ihar Babkou, and historian Valery Maroz.

Masha Maroz is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher from Belarus who examines the historical Belarusian context through the lens of synthetics, bridging archaic forms and technologies, thereby affirming the transformative potential of traditional culture within the dominant socio-political matrix. Maroz is the founder and curator of the Past Perfect platform, dedicated to the preservation and popularization of the ethnographic heritage of Belarus. With a keen interest in crafts, material and image-making, she employs a diverse array of disciplines to develop her artistic language through various forms: installations, textiles, photography, video, and graphics.
She is Artist-in-Residence at MQ from September to October 2025.
