The "Artistic Aperitifs" are a convivial hour in the early evening when everyone gathers in the foyer of TQW Studios to raise a glass together before the program continues in Halle G. The toasts are given by artists as short performances – an invitation to speak, sing, gesticulate, or dance in an address to the audience in direct form. A performative toast can be a space in which emotions and inspirations can be shared publicly. It can be a space for new ideas, for mourning, for protest, for rage, and also for celebration.
