Der berühmte Schriftsteller war zugleich ein stiller Prophet der modernen Malerei. Victor Hugos märchenhaft-düstere Architekturdarstellungen entsprangen noch einer romantischen Fantasie, seine Klecksbilder sind hingegen frühe Vorstöße in Richtung Abstraktion. Im Grafischen Kabinett werden ca. 60 Blätter des Visionärs vorgestellt.
