In the works of visual artist Péter Tauber, born in Budapest in 1983, metamorphosis plays a crucial role.
In his sculptural works the artist assembles found objects and detaches them from their original use as an act of decay and construction.
The aesthetic of decay is also evident in his paintings. The artist alienates comics and brings them to life in abstracted pictorial compositions.
Péter Tauber studied from 2010 to 2017 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna under Prof. Daniel Richter.
He currently lives and works in Vienna.
