designforum Wien presents contemporary product design from Slovenia. A selection of sustainable objects produced from local raw materials in the areas of living, leisure and lifestyle can be seen.
The products combine creativity and economy. New production methods are based on regional handicrafts, but also on trend-setting, environmentally friendly technologies. The stories of small, regional brands that stand for functionality, joie de vivre and love for nature and are on the lookout for innovative uses for local raw materials - especially wood - are also told. The 85 products at the show that were created in the past two years have all received the “Made in Slovenia” seal of quality, which goes back to an initiative of the Center za Kreativnost - the center for creativity - located in the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana.
