In ‘Cargo Cult’ mythology, remaking western technology will summon a messianic freight. Viennese artist Peter Moosgaard continues his ‘Cargo’ practice with SKAFANDER (The Spiritual Cyborg).
Moosgaard exhibits the Exoskeleton as an ‘an Extension of Man’ by constructing a poetic prosthesis made from wood and organic material. This ritual appropriation and mimicry is the only way we can escape our techno-capitalistic nightmare.
