In lil'dragon the most varied artistic languages meet: classical Cambodian Khmer dance, contemporary forms of movement, urban dance, fine art and new technology. On the stage a former star dancer of the Royal Ballet of Cambodia and a hip-hop dancer meet in order to use dance to pass on their experience beyond their own culture and generation to a group of Viennese children. How can we convey the changes and upheavals in our life to others? And how does our memory change in the process?
In lil'dragon the choreographer and graphic designer Eric Minh Cuong Castaing creates a kaleidoscope out of light, images, colours and bodies. By manipulating events on the stage with the aid of video projections, he puts space and time into unexpected and fascinating relationships and challenges our perception. The figure of the dragon accompanies these processes of metamorphosis by reminding us of the poetry and the power that lie in the collision of reality and fantasy.

For adults and young people from age 13.
