Première
The performance project that the French choreographer Philippe Riéra develops together with a group of young people with Turkish backgrounds in the context of the festival Szene Bunte Wähne and commissioned by the Tanzquartier Wien is in many respects a dialogue. On the one hand because it takes up, answers and continues an existing contemporary dance video made with and for a young audience, contradicts it or perhaps makes fun of it. On the other hand, because its development and the associated processes of re-appropriation and production of identity from the perspective of the young people is something it shares with the audience. In any case, however, and beyond generation boundaries, the work sees itself as a performative city map, addressed both to the inhabitants of Vienna as well as to its temporary tourists, and one that questions each one\'s very individual relationship to our city.
