Open Moment Research Workshop: RE
RE - Re/Travelling, Re/Reading, Re/Writing, Re/Appropriating, Re/Claiming

Date: Sat, Feb 11, 17:00
Venue: TQW / Studios

Mo In 1911, Le Corbusier went on his Voyage d\'Orient. In 2011, the photographer David Bergé and the curator Elke Krasny employ selected cities along his itinerary - Athens, Belgrade, Istanbul, Rome and Vienna - as well as Le Corbusier\'s travelogue, his sketches and photographs as their starting point for a re/travelling and a contemporary re/orienting.
With regard to artistry, choreography, architecture, photography and curating, referring to pre-existing things, historical formations in aesthetic, built, and written matters is a practice of critical expansions. The research workshop takes up the question of historical positions becoming present as a strategy of re-classification. Main issue is the differentiated elaboration of positionalities, dealing with discursive and investigating connecting lines which re-assess this discontinuous intellectual resource space by reading, navigating, and mapping existing things.
