The British artist Claire Hooper (born in London in 1978) is the sixth winner of the Baloise Art Prize who, as part of the award (2010) will have a solo exhibition at mumok. Her award-winning film \"NYX\" sketches a brief and trivial episode in the life of a young man with an immigrant background. The film shows a night-time descent into the underground system of a metropolis. The homeward journey of a youngster turns into a horror trip through the disastrous combination of alcohol and drug intolerance.
