\"2041 - who will I be 30 years from now, what will I be dancing, performing or thinking?\"
In Uhlich, young Austrian choreographer Doris Uhlich jumps 30 years ahead in time. The piece narrates the future. Doris Uhlich directs her mother Gertraud Uhlich. This is a solo that Doris Uhlich, the daughter, will herself perform in 30 years. The mother\'s presence forecasts a possible future. The daughter engages with the mother\'s physicality and gestures, which at the same time forge a link with her own physicality. The mother shows her daughter where her body is going. In addition to this physical future projection, Doris Uhlich works with philosophical texts that are as alien to her mother as the future is alien to her. How much future can be calculated or planned? What are viable motives for surviving the present to live into the future?
