The MuseumsQuartier Wien first opened on June 30, 2001. Exactly ten years later, we\'re celebrating the anniversary with a big open air event. The program features three live music acts with top bands from all over Europe and a spectacular 3D projection. Czech duo DVA will kick off the event, followed by the Polish band Miloopa and the Romanian-German singer Miss Platnum. After that - curated by the Viennese sound:frame festival - the German artist group URBANSCREEN will stage an audiovisual performance on the facades of the Leopold Museum. It will be a real feast for the senses.

Program:

\r\n

DVA (CZE), 17:30
The acoustic electronic duo DVA characterizes its music as folklore from a non-existent nation. Their songs reflect influences from tango, cabaret, circus, pop songs, kitchen beatbox, and freak folk.
Bára Kratochvílová: voice, saxophone, clarinet, melodica, toy piano, monchhichi. Jan Kratochvíl: voice, guitar, snarling, kitchen beatbox
In cooperation with the Czech Center Vienna

\r\n

Miloopa (POL), 19:00
Miloopa has been in existence since 2001 and is one of Poland\'s best live electronic formations. Their colorful sound palette ranges from breakbeat, drum\'n\'bass, jungle, and dubstep to downtempo, trip hop, and a little jazz, with the enchanting voice of singer Natalia Lubrano floating over the tracks, giving the music a warm vibe that is otherwise fairly rare in electronic music.

Miss Platnum (ROM/GER), 20:30
The Balkans begin in your heart! Ruth Maria Renner aka Miss Platnum came to Berlin with her parents in 1989 and decided to look for soul in the music of her homeland. Miss Platnum doesn\'t want her music to be labeled as ethnic or world music. Modern, urban, danceable, and yet organic and not overstyled to the hilt: That\'s how it should be.

URBANSCREEN (GER): A Virtual Site-specific Theatre, 22:00
The artist group URBANSCREEN is projecting a monumental show with giant images on the MQ architecture. Three-dimensional shapes materialize on the flat facades of the Leopold Museum and create virtual spatial planes. Figures emerge from these shapes, sometimes shy and hesitant, sometimes dynamic and impulsive. In the end they seem to be so close that the facade behind them slips into the background. MQ Open Air is offering a spatial experience unlike anything Vienna has ever seen before.
