Opening: Fri, May 6, 17:00
Venue: MQ Haupthof

There is no such thing as \"history.\" History is not linear, static, or \"good.\" The art project \"Fathomizing Memory\" views history as a dynamically changing fragment that continuously has to be questioned and reevaluated. It centers around an installation by V. Nino Jaeger linking documents from contemporary witnesses of the Nazi regime with the present and makes them tangible. Art actions by artists like m.a.x. and zenkloTM take place in the area surrounding the installation container.

A Project by ORANGERIE - ORANGE 94.0, Artistic Director: V. Nino Jaeger

In Cooperation with the Austrian Resistance Archive (DÖW), trafo.K, Petra Unger, Verein Gedenkdienst (Holocaust memorial society), Association of Austrian Visual Artists (VBKÖ), and Wolf Werdigier

With the support of the Europe for Citizens program, Future Fund of the Republic of Austria, National Fund National Fund of the Republic of Austria, and KulturKontakt Austria.
