Pierre Droulers describes his 2007 work Flowers as \"a house with rooms you can walk into\". In this the architectural structure of the stage set, which indicates the long years of cooperation of the Belgian choreographer dancer with fine artists, opens up into rooms that are rather places of memory and which are inhabited by the eight dancers, formed in sculptural gestures, and repeatedly solidified and then dissolved again.

In the contrast between stage machinery and theatre space and the presence of the bodies and the fragility of the movements, the drawings, photos and cartons lying on the floor become intensive and energy-laden traces of a research into the question of where one is really at home. Vital and laden with tension, they tell of wishes and desires, of the imaginary and the intimate, of chaos and infection.

Flowers is reminiscent of an organism that - simultaneously structured and moving - turns to moments of transience, in a joyful and deep diving into lived and still fictive sites of memory.
