Alexander Wanko - Lighting Technology
Workshop

Date: Oct 5 to Oct 7, Mon through Wed 6-9 pm
Venue: TQW Studios

The workshop is aimed at artists who would like to convert their ideal conception of a light space into light-technology practice. Within the three days an overview of the basics of electric current and the construction of a lighting system will be provided. The main focus is on the introduction to the most common spotlights, their lighting qualities and the ways they are used. The participants receive a crash course in focusing, insights into colour theory and the programming of a lighting console.

Alexander Wanko has been a theatre technician since 1991. He was lighting and stage technician with the Theater mbH., WUK and various off productions, among others, and since 2005 has been working at the Tanzquartier Wien. He has been involved in several productions as lighting designer.
