May 2024 - May 2024Balázs Turai is an animation designer, writer and director based in Budapest. His aim is to create psychedelic, lively and at the same time commercially entertaining short films. He is known for his involvement in the animated series "Candide" and "Oligarchia", as well as for the success of his first short film "Amok".
During his residency at the MQ, Balázs Turai is working on a 1-2 minute pilot episode for a psychedelic series in which people undergoing a space migration experience different VR worlds. His long-time collaborator Benjamin Efrati is helping him to develop the story and music. The working title is "Little house on the prairy on the spaceship".
