She studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, the University of Applied Arts Vienna (graphic design, diploma) and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (class for Expanded Pictorial Space, diploma).
With a poetic and humorous eye, she illustrates for international print and online media.
She lives and works in Berlin.
Based on the concept of the flâneur, who wanders through the city to attentively capture moods and impressions, Anna Szilit as Drawing Observatory - based on the idea of the Vienna Fashion Observatory by Liquid Frontiers - embarks on urban exploratory walks through Vienna. In doing so, she observes and reflects on the changes that shape the (post-)pandemic space. In contrast to a travelogue, the illustrator does not seek the foreign, but rather the familiar, or the alienation in the familiar.
