Born in Nigeria (Africa), moved to Italy at the early age of 18 where I began my journey into the field of creativity and self formations in the areas of fashion design and wearable arts.
I am more of a visionary artist: as a creative person with no formal training in fashion or textiles and with an interest in human anthropology, my works strongly fuses my African heritage with whimsical characters of what I would call “street mythology” and other elements of our western culture, like Pop Art and cartoons/Avatar.
I’m the artistic director behind the brand Rebel Yuths.
I personally take care of every aspect of the brand from 2011 to present.

Projectinfo

I am more of a visionary artist: as a creative person with no normal training in fashion or textiles and with an interest in human anthropology, my works strongly fuses my African heritage with whimsical characters of what I would call “treet mythology” and other elements of our western culture, like Pop Art and cartoons/Avatar.
I am currently working on a new collection which will be presented during the Vienna Fashion Week at the fashion exhibition FACELESS. This collection is inspired by two strong cultural backgrounds: Ancient Greek and African sculptures and spirit of fitness with references from both past to present day sportsmanship, where the physical figures of these persons were very vital, be it for self defense, combats, games or sometimes for pleasures and grace. This collection will be giving lot of importance to sculptures and wall arts, head bust, and masks, thus a sort of Living sculptures parading themselves in the museums than being the usual mummified statues on a daily museum basis. Sculptures were used to depict the physical perfections of these persons, I will be adding my personal interpretations thus making it modern street wearable arts. I will be doing researches, visiting local museums, cultural centers where Greek or African Arts are well documented in a way I can get profound information on how I can give a full and well defined interpretation of this collection. I would also be visiting and attending workshops, Vienna's Art and fashion academies especially since I am a huge fan and admirer of one of my inspirational Artist/Designer Bernhard Wilhelm who is a lecturer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. This way, I could also have the opportunity to get his opinion also on upcoming artists/designers their works, how much are we really contributing today in the creative world of Art and Fashion and how influential it is getting on our everyday lives.
